DEADMAN’S POINT MX on FaceBook

The group is in honor of all those who raced and camped there, and the late great Bobby Dresslar who birthed the race track and promoted the races from 1968 thru 1973. Also the European Scrambles bike and dune buggy races.

The MX track was the very first stadium MX track in the US! And it is the 3rd oldest track in the US behind Saddleback and Carlsbad. If you raced or camped out at Deadman’s, please get involved sharing your stories and photos as we travel down memory lane of great SoCal High Desert racing that had a friendly family atmosphere. Let the bench racing begin.

CZ in the Office!

Had to share this today. One of my work vendors told me about a friend of his who restored a CZ. He said he spent a lot of time and expense and decided to mount it up on the wall of his office!

Well, trailer queens, wall queens whatever, they are still too cool to look at especially when on the phone with a customer. This one turned out from what I can tell about perfect. He did a great job!

1972 CZ250 Yellow tanker. Probably the most adored CZ of all.

Deadmans Point MX - 1969

Just in, some great video from 1969 at the Deadman's Point Motocross track, Apple Valley CA. We want to thank Jim Robinson for reviving his old 8mm film so we can enjoy this nostalgic look back at early SoCal motocross.

One item I would like to highlight is the tin fence you can see in the background. This 9ft tall fence surrounded the complete property of 5 acres including the pit area making DMP MX the very first American stadium style MX track in the nation.
